Strategy Development
After identifying and acquiring a candidate engineering consultancy company for an international corportate, developed then executed a strategy to grow the company into the industry leader with double the profit and revenue.
Contract Negotiation
Managed the tender submission and contract negotiation for a $250m contract with the New Zealand Governement using novel non competitive tendering, performance based contracting and a target cost incentive fee structure.
Transformation
With 3 months until contract vesting day led the transformation of 2 diverse organisations into a single fully integrated and aligned team of 250 civilian and Defence Force personnel with process and procedures to allow contract delivery from day one.
Process Improvement
Implementing a range of new processes and procedures to more closely monitor and manage the business, reduce cost, increase productivity, reduce business risk and ensure the growth and continued development of personnel. Resulting in improved employee engagement and morale.
Governance
As the chair of the AUT Industry Advisory Committee completed a restructure of the committe function to provide greater benefit to the University and closer interaction between the school and industry partners. Providing greater connection with industry and achieving course accreditation.
Business Change
Review of business performance and implementing a full restructure to align resources and investment with the business opportunities. Including significant recruitment, personnel restructuring and position development, supported by robust processes and operating instructions.
